Wild at Heart BASIC is Wild at Heart Boot Camp led by John Eldredge and his team through video session in your local area.
A man needs a deeper understanding of his masculine heart—and why God made him just like that. What if those deep desires in our hearts are telling us the truth, revealing to us the lives we were meant to live? A man must know he is powerful; he must know he has what it takes. The way we handle the heart is everything. Basic is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.
This WAH Basic will take place on the grounds of the Schoenstatt Retreat Center in beautiful Waukesha, Wisconsin and we will be staying in the main retreat center in dormitory style rooms. https://schoenstatt-wisconsin.us/retreat-center/

Required Items: Bible, journal, pen, water bottle, soap, shampoo, toiletries, warm layered clothing (we'll be outside a lot), warm gloves, hat, hiking/athletic shoes or boots, campfire clothes, comfortable clothes for activities.
Optional Items (things I often forget and wish I had brought):
earplugs to drown out snoring, ENO Hammock or similar , small backpack for day hikes, fishing pole (WI license required), hiking poles, specific snacks you want (all meals from breakfast on Friday to breakfast on Sunday are included. Thursday dinner and Sunday lunch on your own).
We will have some free time on Friday and Saturday and hope to have some organized activities planned on and off site that you can participate in if you choose or you can just chill around the camp and rest. Whatever your soul needs. There are also a few fishing spots near campus. Wisconsin fishing license required.
Plan to spend the whole weekend at the camp. We ask that you only go offsite when participating in an offsite group activity as to get the full experience of the week disconnected from the distractions of society. You will also be asked to leave your phone turned off and in your bag or vehicle the entire weekend. This is for your benefit and the benefit of the other men to decrease distractions. Emergency numbers and a number to the cabin will be given to you to share with family members in case of an emergency.
